Magdalena Nowicka
Short description in English:

I am professor for Migration and Transnationalism at the Humboldt University in Berlin and Head of Department Integration at DeZIM e.V. (German Centre for Integration and Migration Research). I hold a doctoral degree in Sociology from the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich (2005), a Master of Arts degree in Cultural Studies from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland (2001) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Warsaw, Poland (1999).

My research and teaching are in the field of transnational migration and integration in Europe, cosmopolitanism and conviviality, social inequalities, diversity, racism and qualitative research methods.
